Terms of Use (EULA)

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the pwE (Pray With Me) application, you explicitly agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and End User License Agreement (EULA), as well as our Privacy Policy.

2. Mission and Nature of Service

pwE is a digital Catholic instrument designed to accompany the faithful in personal prayer and the practice of Lectio Divina (Prayer Reading), in strict communion with the Catholic Magisterium and the 73-book Catholic Biblical Canon.

The application does not substitute for the Sacraments of the Church, priestly spiritual direction, or parish community life. Artificial intelligence operates strictly as a Socratic exegesis companion and patristic reference.

3. Free Liturgy & Benefactor Subscription

Access to individual daily readings of the official Catholic Liturgy and the Spiritual Notebook is universal, perpetual, and 100% free for all faithful worldwide.

Users may voluntarily support the apostolate by joining the pwE Benefactors Circle via monthly or annual contributions:

• Subscriptions are processed and billed directly to your Apple ID or Google Play account upon purchase confirmation.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours prior to the end of the current billing cycle.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your device's account settings (App Store > Subscriptions or Google Play > Payments & subscriptions).

4. Zero Tolerance for Abusive Content (Apple Guideline 1.2)

pwE maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy regarding misuse of the service, including attempts to circumvent doctrinal guidelines (jailbreaking prompts), or introducing defamatory, fraudulent, profane, hate-filled, or offensive content contrary to Christian faith and morals.

Any user violating these terms will face immediate account termination. The app includes a prominent "Flag this passage" button within all AI meditation sections, enabling orants to report inappropriate generated content instantly for human review.

5. Intellectual Property & Liturgical Copyright

Sacred Scripture and liturgical readings are reproduced in communion with official ecclesiastical authorities. Portuguese daily liturgical texts (daily Mass readings selection) are copyrighted by the National Conference of Bishops of Brazil (Edições CNBB) under applicable copyright laws. All rights reserved.

pwE does not redistribute or store full-volume literary works (such as complete Lectionaries, Missals, or the full official CNBB Bible translation). For custom scripture meditation, the app exclusively processes passages manually entered by the user or captured from their personal physical Bible via on-device optical character recognition (OCR), strictly for private devotional use.

All pwE trademarks, sacred iconography, user interface designs, and source code are the exclusive intellectual property of their developers.
